Progression Packs
One of the challenges for widening participation in Higher Education is to promote the opportunities for vocational and apprenticeship learners to improve their knowledge and skills. Between 1%-2% of HE students have progressed via a work-based learning route and improving the skills of higher technician professionals is a key element in the Government's workforce development and skills strategies.
This 'Progression Pack' has been designed to support the IAG given to Level 3 Advanced Apprentices, in particular although it also has a wider currency. It provides information about part time higher education options including Foundation Degrees, HNC/Ds and Degrees as well as a series of relevant case studies of students who have continued to earn whilst learning.
Contact the Aimhigher Regional Office (01902 824185) for copies of the pack or download copies of the pdf here.
